Aberdeen-based Subsea UK hopes to bring subsea supply chain companies in Norfolk together in the first networking event of its kind in Gt Yarmouth next week.
The event will focus on underwater activity in the oil and gas, defence, oceanology and marine renewables industries and will allow delegates to identify opportunities and debate the challenges facing the subsea sector.
The event will feature key speakers from sponsors Scientific Management Associates, TechSafe, Applied Acoustics, Proeon Systems Ltd, Pipeshield and Nylacast, who will demonstrate how they are adapting their business models for the current market to ensure they are fit for the future.
A Subsea UK spokesman said: “Norfolk is fast becoming a hub for the subsea sector and we hope that these kind of events will provide a platform for companies operating in the sector to come together and identify and exploit opportunities whilst sharing best practice.
“Our aim at Subsea UK is to help organisations work towards a common goal, especially during times of market uncertainty like we are seeing now.”
The event is supported by East of England Energy Group (EEEGR), a non-profit business-led group committed to the sustained development of the energy sector in the East of England. It represents all main gas, oil and renewable (GOR) energy industry sectors.
Unlike counterpart trade bodies in Scotland (with the exception of the Scottish Energy Association) the EEEGR represents all main gas, oil and renewable (GOR) energy industry sectors.
