Scotland is about to vote on what is probably the most important decision in its history. The outcome whether for independence or not will result in significant changes to all walks of life.
Chaired by Jeremy Peat, OBE, this event has been organised by the Industrial and Power Association. It will be held on Wednesday, 22 October 2014 and will be opened by Tom Greatrex, MP, Shadow Energy Minister.
Jeremy Peat is Visiting Professor, University of Strathclyde International Institute for Public Policy
This will be followed by two sessions, the first will have four 10-minute presentations on possible regulatory and legislative changes and to follow up these, the four presenters will form an expert panel to answer questions from delegates and debate the issues raised. A coffee break will be followed by the second session which will concentrate on the generation and grid side, again with four presenters following the same format as the first session.
The event will start with registration at 9.00am and then the first session starting at 9.30am followed by coffee, the second session and then finish with lunch at around 1.00pm all refreshments included in the registration fee.
