Edinburgh Centre of Carbon Innovation
The ECCI is a hub for the knowledge, innovation and skills required to create a low carbon economy. The ECCI provides the place and space for ‘low carbon leaders’ and networks from business, finance and the public sector to work together to deliver a low carbon future. Hosted by the University of Edinburgh, in partnership with Heriot-Watt University and Edinburgh Napier University, the Edinburgh Centre creates a unique platform for supporting Government policy implementation; enhancing business enterprise and innovation; and delivering professional skills training.

Provide detailed, independent and ongoing support for all aspects of community energy project development, from micro to megawatt scale; they help broadcast the specific difficulties faced by the community sector; and by bringing communities and policy makers together, they try to find new ways forward. Community Energy Scotland work closely with the UK and Scottish Governments, and with organisations such as SEPA, SNH and Scottish Renewables to advise on the challenges and issues groups are facing, and to find ways to overcome difficulties.
