Well management firm secures further contracts

An Aberdeen-based well management firm has secured agreements with two leading independent oil & gas exploration and production groups.

Zenith Energy, which was established in 2012, has agreed a three year non-exclusive deal with London-based Tullow Oil, which has over 140 exploration and production licences across 24 countries, to provide a variety of well engineering services on an ad-hoc basis.

The independent well engineering and project management company based at Regent Quay, has also been awarded a contract by Total E&P to prepare and deliver High Pressure High Temperature (HPHT) well control training to the offshore Total teams for a well to be drilled on the Rowan Gorilla V rig on the Elgin field in the North Sea.

“Agreeing these recent contracts with Tullow Oil and Total E&P is a major achievement for the firm and reflects our growth and capabilities within the industry. The Tullow contract will be on-going, enabling us to provide a wide range of services and further showcase our expertise within our well engineering team. ”

Zenith Energy, which has over 100 years of professional experience in the industry, has also promoted Chris Collie to operations director to oversee and develop the firm’s services and expanding workforce of 14.

Martin continued:

“As a business, we have grown significantly in only two years of operation, working with many large operators and projects, which has signalled our move to promote Chris and further develop our strategic growth plans. He has played a key role in the growth of the business since the beginning, helping to firmly establish Zenith’s name in the market, as well as managing our expanding team which has been key part in the success of Zenith so far.”

Operations Director at Zenith, Chris Collie, said: “Zenith is enjoying a period of significant growth and these contract awards enable us to expand our team and increase our capabilities.

“We look forward to project managing our first well later this year which will mark a significant point in our company’s growth and having been part of Zenith since the start I am delighted to take on a more senior role in the company’s development and expansion.”
