Wind opportunities in Finland to 2020 and beyond say experts

finland-flagFinland is accelerating its commitment to wind power with €4 billion to be invested by 2020 and a project pipeline of 8900 MW.

With limited local experience and know-how in wind construction, there are supply chain opportunities in Finland for Scottish companies…

The main focus in Finland for energy centres around the City of Vaasa, West Finland.

West Finland Energy Clusters (representing some 120 companies) has established an office in Edinburgh to provide a link between Finland and Scotland with Stephen Fox (former Scottish Government Civil Servant) as their representative here.

Companies and other organisations who are interested to learn about these opportunities and to express further interest in the possibility to connect with companies in Finland are invited to attend a breakfast briefing either in Edinburgh or Glasgow in March.
