The Wood Group has won a $500m contract with BP in Azerbaijan to provide services to eight offshore facilities, which will create some 200 jobs in the region.
Effective immediately, Wood Group PSN will provide engineering, procurement and construction management services under the contract, which has the option of two 24-month extensions.
David Buchan, WGPSN’s eastern region managing director, said: “We have a 40 year history of working with BP across their global assets and this new contract award reflects the strong relationship we have with them, built on collaboration and continued excellence and assurance in our service delivery.
Meanwhile, Taqa has awarded a five-year offshore logistics contract in the North Sea to Peterson to support the Harding, Tern, Eider, North Cormorant and Cormorant Alpha platforms.
Peterson will be responsible for managing 55,000 deck tonnes and supplying 50,000 tonnes of fuel annually and will support TAQA from quayside and warehouse facilities in Aberdeen and Kintore.
