To the usual PR trumpeting from the Department of Energy (DECC), Michael Fallon, the Perthshire-born UK Energy Minister last week announced the new UK Technology Strategy Board’s £25 million energy catalyst competition.
The energy catalyst will ‘support those early-stage innovations with the potential to meet the challenge of providing affordable, secure and low carbon energy’ said Fallon in his accompanying publicity material which prominently published the TSB address as:

SN2 1UE
However, in a helpful note, the publicity material from Fallon also advised: “When using satnav use this postcode – SN2 1FF – and NOT the postal address postcode, which will take you to a different location.”!
Older heads recall that this postcode (either one) resembles the old army acronym SNAFU, which means: “Situation Normal – All F***** UP! “
