Click here to export your electricity supply chain services to Iraq with UK Govt. guarantees

UK Export Finance is working with Enka and General Electric to finance, design and build the Samawa Combined Cycle Power Plant, which will add 750 MW to the Iraqi Grid.

The project is located near Samawah City, 200 miles northwest of Basra in southern Iraq. UK Export Finance’s support to the Iraqi government, via a loan guarantee, is on condition of the project using UK suppliers.

Companies with the capability to supply this project should register their interest by 10 March (see link at foot).

Companies will be provided with more details and invited to attend a project supplier event in London on 31 March at the QEII Centre in London. This event will be free of charge to attend.

DIT (Department of International Trade) representatives will also be in attendance on 31 March to provide support and answer  questions you may have about the Iraq energy supply-chain market

The company require a door to door transport service from the UK and EU to the site location in Iraq, or a Iraqi port.
Transportation is required for:
– 4 sets of 2 pressure non reheat water and steam cycle with heat recovery steam generators
– 1 set of 2 casing 2 pressure non-reheat steam turbines
– 1 air cooled generator for a steam turbine
– all mechanical and electrical balance of plant equipment and construction materials
