EDF Renewables signs corporate PPAs with Tesco; will build two Scottish onshore wind farms

EDF Renewables has signed three corporate power purchase agreements (PPAs) with Tesco, through which 60MW of renewable electricity will provided to the retailer.

Two of these PPAs will cover onshore wind projects in Scotland that EDF Renewables will build.

The Burnfoot East wind farm project will have a total installed capacity of 10.8MW and will be an extension of the existing 42MW Burnfoot cluster located in Clackmannanshire. The wind farm extension is expected to be completed mid-2020.

The second wind farm will have a capacity of around 43MW, with more details of its whereabouts to be announced at a later date.
