On 23 September, Falck Renewables S.p.A., through its subsidiary Kilbraur Wind Energy, signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) to sell all the electricity at its Kilbraur wind farm (UK) to Shell Energy Europe.
The Kilbraur wind farm, located in Strath Brora, Sutherland, is owned, operated and managed by Kilbraur Wind Energy. It consists of 27 turbines with a total capacity of 67.5MW.
The contract provides for the sale of all power output – and associated benefits, such as ROCs, ROC Recycle and REGOs – from the wind farm.
The agreement is expected to come into force in October 2019.
