Falck Safety Services – which delivers more than 200 safety and survival training courses a year to the oil & gas and renewable energy sectors – has been shortlisted for a Scottish Renewables award for its ‘long-standing commitment’ to offshore wind and safety training.
The firm has provided considerable evidence of supporting the development of health and safety standards for offshore wind at both UK and EU level. Working closely with the wind industry to continually develop its courses, Falck delivers RenewableUK and GWO accredited training throughout the UK, with GWO accredited courses also delivered in Denmark, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands.
Colin Leyden, Managing Director, Falck Safety Services said: “Our facilities are second-to-none as we utilise a 23.7m wind tower to enhance delegate’s working at height training experience and offer open-water training or a sheltered environmental tank depending on requirements.
“We keep this same focus on realistic training throughout our European centres – Germany, Denmark, Belgium and The Netherlands – all of which are GWO accredited centres and often get asked by clients to train at their own premises.”
Winners will be announced later today (3 Nov 2015).
