Glasgow City Council approves £4.2mn energy efficiency funding

Glasgow City Council announced on 27 June that it has approved £4.2mn to making households in the city more energy efficient. The funding is expected to deliver insulation measures to 776 homes in both the owner-occupied and private landlord owned sectors.

The measures are being delivered through the Scottish Government’s Home Energy Efficiency Programme for Scotland: Area Based Schemes. So far, eleven projects have been identified in Glasgow to benefit from this funding.

The programme is also expected to deliver significant carbon reductions over its 25-year lifetime.
