Innovate UK holds £14m Energy Catalyst funding workshop in Edinburgh

Energy Catalyst initiative

Established by Innovate UK, the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council and the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC), the aim of the Energy Catalyst is to accelerate innovation in the energy sector.

In Round 2, up to £14 million is available to support business-led projects based on: new technologies; enhancement of existing technologies; components, sub-systems and systems; integrated whole system approaches; and, enabling technologies that address the challenges of the energy ‘trilemma’ –

  • Reducing emissions
  • Improving security of supply
  • Reducing cost

The Energy Catalyst welcomes proposals from any sector and is seeking to fund the best concepts and innovative technologies from any UK business or research organisation.

Innovate UK is holding a seminar in Edinburgh on 13 January 2015.
