Montrose Port to host Seagreen wind project worth £6bn

SSE Renewables has announced plans to use Montrose Port for the operation and maintenance base for its Seagreen offshore wind farm. The energy firm has committed a £6bn lifeline investment into the 120 turbine project situated just 16 miles off the Angus coastline. Upon completion, the wind farm is expected to provide 40% of Scottish households with renewable energy.
