National Energy Action (NEA) and Energy Action Scotland released a new report on 17 September arguing that thousands of people will die this winter due to “failing” national fuel poverty strategies.
The UK Fuel Poverty Monitor also said that the UK will be unable to achieve the net zero emissions target by 2050 unless housing energy efficiency is improved.
The report contains a number of recommendations, such as calling for the government to designate domestic energy efficiency as a national infrastructure priority.
