The deadline for submitting nominations is by 6 September 2014 and winners will be announced in Glasgow on 28-29 October.
The competition is being organised by Zero Waste Scotland, which is funded by the Scottish Government to support its low-carbon and resource-efficiency policy objectives.
The two-day event will feature keynote addresses from Richard Lochhead MSP, Scottish Environment Minister, Viridor chief executive Ian McAulay, and Vic Emery – the new Chairman of Zero Waste Scotland.
From October, Tesco customers in Scotland will be asked to choose the charities and environmental organisations that they wish to benefit from an estimated £1.8 million set to be raised from the 5p carrier bag charge.
