As part of the South West Scotland renewables connection project, Ofgem has decided to accept Scottish Power Transmission’s (SPT’s) request for an Output Measure Adjusting Event (OMAE), it confirmed on 28 March.
Following Ofgem’s consultation in January, which set out its initial view on SPT’s OMAE request, the regulator said that the Opening Asset Value should equal the £42.55mn allowance set out in December 2004, with allowances for the Quad Booster, equating to £1.15mn, being removed from the project scope.
While the SPT outputs were delivered 16-months later than anticipated, it agreed with Ofgem that the start of the post-construction period should be shifted back to 2017-18 to reflect that the project was delivered two years late.
