Public sector Climate Change Portal launched

An important new resource for the Scottish public sector was announced by Sylvia Gray, Chair of the Sustainable Scotland Network (SSN) Steering Group, at the SSN Conference. The Public Sector Climate Change Portal was launched following last year’s request from the Scottish Government to Keep Scotland Beautiful (KSB) to develop a resource to enable the sharing of key information, advice, good practice, case studies and reports.

The portal is designed to add value to the work of public sector organisations and initiatives supported by the Scottish Government, to help public sector action on climate change, in line with the Public Bodies Duties in the Climate Change (Scotland) Act. We hope the portal will make public sector action on climate change more effective and efficient.

The key audiences for the portal are public sector professionals leading on climate change, and the wider network of public sector professionals who have a key role in taking action on climate change, for example those working on low carbon economic development, energy, transport, waste, housing and planning.
