MSP Kate Forbes – a member of the Scottish parliament’s cross-party committee on renewable energy and energy-efficiency – has been confirmed as a keynote speaker at next week’s Energy Scotland Conference.
The conference will focus on the recently-published draft Scottish Energy Strategy consultation document from the Scot-Govt.
Organised by the independent Scottish Energy Association – whose members are active in all oil, gas and renewable energy sectors – this conference is being held on Thursday 23 February 2017 in Glasgow.

Forbes – the SNP MSP for Skye and Lochaber – is also parliamentary liaison officer in Holyrood to the Cabinet Secretary for Finance. A former accountant, she is a graduate of Cambridge and Edinburgh universities.
The all-energy Scottish Energy Association works for the economic success of its members in the power and energy sector to achieve a low carbon future.
It has recently welcomed a range of new corporate members, who include Community Windpower, Logic Energy, Scottish Gas and DONG Energy.
