Scottish Energy Strategy chief leads rostrum of speakers at Heriot Watt Energy Academy conference 

The second annual conference of the Energy Academy at Heriot Watt University is being held on 28 March in Edinburgh.

Keynote speakers include Kat White, Head of Energy & Climate Change Projects, who will discuss the Scot-Govt’s ambitious Scottish energy strategy

Other speakers include:

  • David Sanders, Commercial Director, Dearman – will discuss the cold energy opportunity and in particular the Dearman Engine – “The engine powered by thin air – clean cold power”
  • Dr Robin Westacott who will lead in a session focussed on skills development and for SMEs, the opportunities afforded by the new Heriot-Watt Graduate Apprenticeship programme, and
  • Robyn Thomas, Head of Innovation Programmes and Innovation, NERC, will talk about “Transformative innovation: the energy sector and the impact of environmental science”.
