Scotland launches Consultation on Local Energy systems with Stakeholders

The Scottish Government launched a consultation on Wednesday 9 October which will inform the formation of the Local Energy Position Paper. This will identify key principles and associated outcomes for project delivery following the development of local energy systems in Scotland. The policy statement establishes ten key principles which stakeholders should consider. These include consumer participation, geographical considerations, network and infrastructure, security of supply, pathway to commercialisation, industries’ carbon footprint, and ensuring support for the workforce and creation of jobs
