Scots wind-farmers’ trade body ponders link-up with agri-farmers

Royal Highland ShowScottish Renewables, the trade association is considering joining forces with the Royal Highland Show to develop a new concept for On-site Renewables projects and to develop a series of fact sheets for farmers, landowners, home owners and businesses who have an interest in renewables.

The aim would be to pay for an exhibition stand in the renewables arena at the annual show in Edinburgh, where it would hold a series of case study presentations and hand out fact sheets on:

•    Solar panels
•    Heat pumps
•    Biomass boilers
•    Wind turbines
•    Anaerobic digestion (AD)

The National Farmers Union Scotland – as reported already in the Scottish Energy News – has held a number of events recently to help farmers learn more about theses issues and Scottish Renewables is now asking interested parties to comment on its proposal.
