This is because it is no longer possible to sustain a ‘free to air’ B2B national newsletter – a situation made worse by some industry trade bodies who proclaim ‘partnership and collaboration’ – and then form commercial alliances with England-based rival media and at the same time refuse Scottish Energy News access to trade events as bona fide independent media (while permitting rival media to attend Scot-free)

This is the kind of ‘dirty tricks’ or monopolistic and anti-competitive trade practices which would otherwise have them screaming to their industry regulator.

Scottish Energy News is happy, keen and willing to compete in the market place on a level playing field. But regrettably, the balance is tilted against us.
