Scotvalve Services Limited has appointed Chris Chambers as Director of Oilfield Services at its new state of the art facility in Kintore, Aberdeenshire.
Scotvalves, part of the Petrofac Group, provides refurbishment and re-certification services to oil and gas pressure control and process equipment for both on and offshore.
Chambers brings 13 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry having worked for organisations including Cameron and Aker Solutions in a variety of roles from project management, operations management, general management and business development.
Scotvalves, founded in 1985, has undergone significant changes over the last year – with the opening of new facilities in January and the doubling of its workforce to 70 members of staff – allowing it to meet a growing industry demand for its services from operators, original equipment manufacturers, service companies and drilling contractors.
Chris, 31, said: “Significant investment in our new facilities has brought an expanded team and improved processes, and this – combined with the added benefit of being part of the Petrofac Group – has not only created a substantial foundation for growth of our core services but will also allow us to diversify into further service lines. I am looking forward to the challenge, making an impact and further developing the company’s profile.”
Steve Bullock, Senior Vice President, Petrofac Offshore Projects & Operations, said: “I am delighted to welcome Chris on board; his background and experience in the market and with customers throughout Europe, the Middle East and West Africa make him an immediate asset to the Scotvalves team as he leads the growth of the business.”
