St Andrews University has issued a tender for a development partner to explore options for the design, build, finance, and operation of its new £20 million wind farm.
The university it is keen to explore the options for the delivery of a wind farm at Kenly, south east of St. Andrews.
These may include a joint venture agreement with the successful tenderer, forming a project company to successfully deliver the project, and the successful bidder delivering or managing the design, build, finance and operation of the project under a project management agreement with the project company.
The university, which owns the wind farm site, has said it may grant a lease of the turbine site to the project company and might also purchase part of the energy output under a Power Purchase Agreement with the project company.
The deadline for submitting tenders is 6 January 2015.
