ZERO has become the 113th organisation to align itself with the ukDEA, the association created to bring together developers, operators and partners connected with the UK’s largest district energy schemes.
The ukDEA aims to promote district energy as a means of delivering significant carbon savings, as well as establishing a direct link between the Government and industry.
As a heating solutions provider, ZERO is committed to exploring and enabling the increased take up of low-carbon heating systems. District heating schemes provide heat to multiple properties or dwellings from a single source, and have the potential to deliver significant carbon savings, as well as reduce fuel costs for occupants.
ZERO has supplied heating appliances for a number of district heating schemes, and has witnessed the benefits that such schemes can deliver for both scheme managers and residents.
Managing Director, Finian Parrick, explained: “ Joining the ukDEA is a natural next step for ZERO, enabling us to add our voice to that of other partners, owners and operators who extol the virtues of district energy schemes.
“It also puts us in a position to be able to engage with the decision makers responsible for shaping future energy policies.”
