ConocoPhillips, the US energy giant that operates in 27 countries, recently confirmed an extension to the Jade gas condensate field in the central North Sea.
Jade field stands alongside the Jasmine and Joanne fields, all of which are connected with the Judy platform, which sits around 150 miles south east of Aberdeen
The company is the main operator of the field and is one of five companies that holds a stake in it (32.5%). The other four companies are BG Group (35%), Chevron North Sea Limited (19.93%), Eni UK (7%) and OMV (UK) Ltd (5.57%).
ConocoPhillips employs over 18, 400 people across its worldwide operations.
